We will begin our journey at the closest point to Vienna, a delightful monastery and winery - Klosterneuberg Monastery. We are set to embark on an exciting journey to the oldest abbey in Austria, an extraordinary historical site that has served as the repository for the royal family's treasures for centuries. This heritage-rich abbey continues to house these priceless treasures even today. One of the remarkable artifacts we will get the opportunity to see is a 14th-century ducal hat, a piece of history that provides a fascinating glimpse into the past.

Durnstein
For an half hour we will drive along a picturesque country road in the Danube Valley with beautiful terraced vineyards that descend to the Danube, wooded hills and castle ruins. The castle and medieval village of Dürnstein is linked to the story of the English king Richard the Lionheart, who was captured in these parts and languished as a prisoner in the castle. This captivating destination offers breathtaking views of the Danube River and is home to iconic architectural marvels, including a striking blue and white Baroque church. After visiting this castle you will have unforgettable impressions and pictures!

Rossatz
Our next stop on the tour will be a family-run winery situated in a picturesque location. We'll be tasting local wines, and tourists will have the opportunity to order traditional dishes, which are permitted to be served at wineries.

Melk Abbey
We will embark on an immersive exploration of a splendid world-famous Baroque abbey Melk, starting with its enchanting inner courtyard. Melk is the gateway to the Danube Valley. Our journey continues as we enter the abbey's church. Once we've fully appreciated the abbey, we will transition into a different epoch, meandering the cobblestone streets of a beautifully preserved medieval town - Melk. This is a journey through time, an opportunity to truly connect with the past and understand the multilayered narratives of this place.

Vienna
The road back to Vienna will be around 1 hour. We can drop you off at the hotel or at any other place (restaurant, apartments).

Original and border region Burgenland
On the way from Vienna you will learn about the times of the first Celtic settlements and the era of Roman domination, when the border passed along the Danube separating unexplored lands from the empire. Let's talk about how the "border" life of the Austrian macgraviate developed, and about the modern location of Burgenland, adjacent to Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia. As a result, you will discover a completely different Austria - a region that has acquired amazing cultural diversity thanks to its border location. 
Austrian Palace and the Esterhazy family
Arriving in Burgenland, the first thing you do is to visit the capital of the region - Eisenstadt. In the magnificent Esterhazy Palace you will hear about the ancient Austro-Hungarian princely family and can easily imagine the atmosphere of balls and concerts of the 18th century. I will tell you about the famous composer Joseph Haydn, who at that time lived and worked in Eisenstad, and was also Kapellmeister of the Esterhazy family. And later, during a walk through the authentic streets of the city, you can appreciate the very "correct" cake named after the dukes.
Wine capital - tastings and a journey around the lake
Then, past the vineyards of Burgenland, you will go to the shores of Lake Neusidler and the town of Rust, the wine capital of the region, included in the UNESCO list. After a short walk, visit the cellar of the local winemaker, where you will taste several traditional wines and get acquainted with the history of local winemaking. In the summer, you will also take a boat ride from Rust's pier to the opposite shore of Lake Neusiedler, to the town of Podersdorf. And in winter, you'll drive along the shore by bus. So, in a romantic place, next to the lighthouse, your journey will end. Before going back to Vienna, you will have time to swim in the lake in good weather or have lunch in a restaurant with a beautiful view of the surroundings.

What's not included: 
wine degustation with 6 wines (15 euros) or you can choose only a few bokale of wine. As well as personal expenses in the cafe - traditional Esterhazy cake in one of the Eisenstad's coffee shops, traditional Austrian cuisine in a restaurant in Rust - are not included. 

By private comfortable car from anywhere in Vienna, we will go to the Alpine part of the Styria region. This is a unique region, which I will tell you about during the road.
During an easy walk surrounded by breathtaking views, I will tell you why this lake is called Green Lake, why Austrians come to it at any time of the year, and what secrets the lake shores and Alpine peaks hide. 
After an eventful walk around the lakes, we will go to taste local dishes and schnapps from Styria in a traditional village restaurant.
